If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?
This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you's.
Thanks for taking to time to support our military!
Another organization helping our troops is Give2TheTroops-www.give2thetroops.com
From their website:
PLEASE HELP We need donations to send our care packages. Our funds are low and we have more than 20,000 troops waiting for our help. The packages are ready to ship, we need your financial support to ship them.
Give2TheTroops sends very large, heavy boxes (70 lbs on average), which are customized to each unit's requests. We use the U.S. Postal Service - the only method allowed to mail to a combat zone. Boxes mailed from the East Coast to FPO addresses (usually Marines & Sailors) cost us on average $100 per box and vice versa for the West Coast mailing to an APO address (Airmen and Soldiers). We cannot use the typical "Flat Rate" box available at the post office as they do not accommodate our large items we send to the units such as: board games, golf clubs, baseball bats, Christmas trees, microwaves, tv sets, game systems, acoustic guitars, canine beds, Bowflex machines, coffee makers, etc.
Our care packages are distributed to an ENTIRE UNITof troops - not just one person. Every box is shared. If the unit is very large, we must send several of these heavy boxes so there are enough items for everyone in that unit.
