CBN

I have donated to CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) every month for a while now and every month I get updates on how my donation is helping around the world and I thought I would share it with everyone.

Nations like the Philippines are receiving God's Word through the 700 Club and other faith-inspiring programs. And because of these programs Amor called CBN's Prayer Line and received a miraculous answer. His aunt had a heart attack and was comatose for three days. The doctor told the family that she was clinically dead but the family waited 48 hrs, hoping for a miracle and that's when they called the prayer line. And the very next day, Amor's niece called with amazing news that the aunt could move her feet and arms! Soon after, her aunt was released to go home and she is now doing well.

Through Operation Blessing, in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, 98 children received cleft palate surgery. The town's governor expressed his gratitude, and Aminah, whose son Jamal received a free operation, said, "We had given up hope concerning Jamal's fate. We work only as simple farmers." But she added, "A new story has been created in Jamal's life today. After two years of waiting, at last Jamal is free from suffering as a cleft palate patient. He will grow to become a child with self confidence."

Every week, CBN's Operation Blessing is able to deliver 2 million pounds of food and other relief to hungry Americans because of the generous and compassionate people who donate. This help is urgently needed during these difficult times.

I only donate $20/month but it helps in so many ways. And yes $20 isn't a lot but it adds up quickly when more than one person is giving. I know not every organization gives as it should but there are ones that do (also World Vision). Please look into those that do give as they should. America has been blessed sooo much and I think it's our responsibility to help those who aren't as fortunate. Look how these donations are helping so many people. Put yourself in the shoes of a parent who's child has a cleft palate or even the shoes of that child. Can you imagine the life he or she faces? The difficulties or trials or teasing? The positive news is that people are receiving the compassion and care that they should and their lives are getting better.
