Fallen Soldier Artist

Most news we hear or see is sad and depressing. We don't hear good, positive, happy news very often but today I did.

There is a artist in Utah, Kaziah Hancock who paints portraits of fallen soldiers free of charge for their families as part of Project Compassion. She started doing this when the first soldier from Utah had fallen and then it turned into 50 potraits, 10o and now over 200 from almost every state. She refuses to take any money from the families and has lost quite a bit of income. She used to paint landscapes and potraits that sold for thousands. She says though she's working with friends, these are her buddies and it's a team. She's not sacrificing.

What a wonderful and kind hearted person to want to help these grieving families. To want to bring that child back home to their family in a different light. I just googled her and her story is amazing. When I have more time (b/c some of us do have to go to work to make money) I will write more about Kaziah.
