Why Aren't His....

There aren't a lot of lyrics to this song but when we sang it in church Sunday it really got my attention. I'm not the best hearer (I should probably say listener but hearer is more appropriate)  you could say. I'm not always good at grasping everything the first time I hear it and I'm good at tuning things out even when I'm not meaning to. So I usually don't hear the lyrics of songs, I listen to the beat instead. But seeing the words on the screen and singing them definitely had an impact on me.
For Christians our goal is to become more Christ-like everyday. For those who believe we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are to be helping one another, caring for one another and loving one another; not tearing each other down and competing and being vicious or selfish. We have received God's love and forgiveness when we don't even deserve it, so why aren't we returning the favor to others? Why aren't we teaching them and showing them what a wonderful God we have? I have felt God's peace, love, forgiveness, joy and I want to share it with others. I want to give them what I've been given.

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know

CHORUS
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?

And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road

CHORUS
Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ

CHORUS
Jesus is the way

Benefit

Tonight I met with a small group of people from church to cultivate and grow friendships and to learn about God in an interactive way. One of the things we did was either give our testimony or mention something that God has done for us lately. The people I met with I have known for about 7-8 months now but not necessarily in a personal way. So listening to everyone tonight was in a way an eye opener.
I’ve mentioned before that we should give people the benefit of the doubt because we never know what they are going through and listening to everyone tonight was another reminder of that. One lady has been suffering from headaches and pain for some time now and I had no clue. This pain is horrible for her and she doesn’t know when it will hit her. I have never had any bad interaction with her and she is always so nice but now imagine if she had been maybe a little rude or standoffish who knows what I would have thought? (I’d like to think I’d give her the benefit of the doubt) Pain can cause us to act in ways we usually don’t and if I didn’t know she was in pain I could come up with some wild ideas why she acted the way she did when really she was just in pain and it had nothing to do with me personally.
The other thing we talked about was not “judging a book by its cover.” Meaning don’t look at someone and think they are rich or poor by the clothes they wear or the car they drive because it can be deceiving. Plus you never know when you’re entertaining an angel!
Just some things to keep in the back of your mind=)

Patience

Guest Blogger-Kristen

I am not a patient person. I got a little better with it after I had my son, but for the most part I am not patient. I do not like waiting long, I get annoyed easily, it is definitely one of my "issues". Well I have been waiting on my car for a few months to be fixed. It is getting a new engine and a new transmission. A friend at church took it to a friend of his and he has been working on it in his spare time. A few weeks ago is when I really started to get impatient, but then I realized between holidays and the cold weather and the fact he was fixing it when he could, I realized I needed to chill. So today I have been feeling really down and blah..I don't exactly know why, just one of those days. Then Lorrie from church calls me and tells me to call her husband, (who is the one that dropped of my car). So I call him and he says he is bringing my car to me TONIGHT!!! I instantly got out of my funk, started putting laundry away that I did not want to do all day, did my make up and my hair, because I was so excited and happy! It will be so worth the wait! God answers prayers, that is for sure. :)

New Year Prayer

Lord,
There are many uncertainties in our world but what matters most will never change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

We believe You are with us, for us, and surrounding us with Your love. So do not fear, for I am with you... I will strengthen you and help you. Isaiah 41:10

No matter what happens, You will guide us and fulfill Your purposes for us. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Even in hard times we can be confident that we will have victory through you. In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37

We trust you will take care of us and bless us in more ways than we can imagine.
God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

We give each moment and every day to You. Most of all, we give ourselves too.
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 5:10
Amen.

Angry Birds

Is anyone impatient like me? I’m playing a game on my phone, Angry Birds and yes I am addicted but that’s not the point. And you could say it is a puzzle game, makes you think. Well if I can’t complete the “puzzle” I get the urge to run and ask my husband for help, he is playing it as well on his phone. And so far I have only done this twice out of like over a hundred “puzzles” but I get the urge about every 15. For some reason I’m all about getting things done quickly, like it’s a race and it’s not. (Just one of my issues to work on;->)
So moving on to reach my point. I will play and play and think I’m never going to complete the “puzzle” and you know what sooner or later I do! All of a sudden all the pigs have been squashed and I won that stage. And it’s so funny because after each difficult one, that I think I’m never going to pass, I get this feeling of triumph and accomplishment. It’s funny what perseverance will get you. So whatever is going on in your life keep persevering because one day all the pigs will be squashed and you’ll be moving on to the next stage.

Cold Bags

Nathan and I did some shopping at Meijer today and I try to be green when possible so I bring in my own “shopping bags.” When we were living in Florida we got two really nice sturdy cold bags from Fresh Market. They keep your cold or hot items the way you want for up to 4 hours which was perfect for us since we had haul our  groceries back to the island which was always a fun process.
On our way out of Meijer today a lady stopped me and asked where I got my cold bags from. She like how sturdy they were. We told her and I asked if she ever got online and she said she didn’t get on the computer. We walked away then and I looked at Nathan and said “We should give her one of ours?” And Nathan knows me so well so he said yes. So I went back and gave her one. She asked if I was sure and did I want any money for it. I didn’t. I just wanted to help one of God’s children. I can easily get another one, easier than this woman could.
I write this story not for props but to show that I do what I preach, you could say. I write about helping others and I ask you to dig in your pocket and in your heart to help someone else and I want you to know that I do it too. I’m not here trying to get others to give their money and time but yet I don’t. I just want to create a better world for everyone. A world where we reach out and help others and show that we care, whether we know each other or not

Cloth Diapers

http://www.poppielane.com/2011/01/1000-cloth-diapers.html

As I've mentioned before I'm big into helping those less fortunate. One of the blogs I follow wrote about orphans in Ethiopia and the need for cloth diapers. The blogger Lauren is adopting a boy from Ethiopia and saw first hand what they lacked. Another couple Lauren met started a Facebook page...
http://www.facebook.com/pages/1000-Cloth-Diapers-for-Ethiopian-Orphans/174888662553553
On the page they posted: Despite their hard work though, some supplies remain desperately short in number. One of the biggest needs is cloth diapers. Some orphan homes were so short that they had to reuse disposable diapers or not use diapers at all. While we can't meet every need, we can supply cloth diapers for these wonderful children.

We take for granted the things we have here in America. We can easily jump in the car, head to the store and pick up diapers when needed. We can easily throw cloth diapers in the washer when needed. Most things that we need are at our fingertips. We are a blessed country and so I'm asking you to help those less fortunate. Those who just happened to be born not in the U.S.A.

Plank

Luke 6:41-42 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

5K

I’m so excited! I’m signing up to do a 5K in March with the proceeds going to help with a guy’s medical expenses. I don’t know anything more than that but I’m excited to help. This will also make me get in shape. I’m slim but definitely not in shape.
I’m sure most of us SAY we’re going to start exercising but we never do. So this 5K is a motivator to get to the gym and to start running again. I did track, soccer and cross country in school so I’m familiar with running but it’s been a LONG time since I’ve done it.
If you’re struggling with starting a dream or goal find something that will make you do it. That’s what I’m doing=)

Continue

Continue in the things that concern Him;
He will continue to take care of the things that concern you.
Continue to give Him all that is yours;
He will continue to give you all that is His.
Continue to wait upon Him;
He will continue to be faithful to you.
Continue to seek His highest;
He will continue to give you His best.

Advice....

Galatians 5:13-15
“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other

Savings

We started a Christmas savings account through work recently and I'm so excited. I've never been one that is good at saving and so far neither is my husband. Saving really is an art and something that does not come easily to some, like me. It's much more fun to spend what you have=) But yes that's not practical in this day in age. With the economy and just life in general you never know what will happen tomorrow. My mom was laid off in September (I think) and my brother had a kidney stone in the summer and had to have a couple surgeries with one more left. My sister's car broke down in November and she's been borrowing a family members until hers is fixed. You just never know what life will throw your way. So I'm glad I finally made a responsible decision and did this. I'm already trying to figure out how to spend the money in December and yes it'll be responsible spending like paying my student loans or something.

Remember....

Do you forget like me how good God is? How he always comes through time after time? He has answered so many of my prayers and yet I still worry. I still wonder. Why do I do this? When I see him moving in my life I stand in awe and amazement like it’s the first time. The Israelites did this time and time again when Moses and of course God brought them out of Egypt. God preformed many miracles in Egypt, ten plagues and God supplied their every need and got them across the Red Sea but yet they complained and wanted to go back to Egypt. I’d like to think if I was in their situation I would have been grateful and aware of the power of God but who’s to say? Maybe I would have forgotten and worried like they did. I do it now at times.
We always need to REMEMBER what God has done in the past because he is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. It’s so easy to forget, not that we do it on purpose. But if and when we remember it helps to get through today and now.

Origin Coffee and Tea

Origin Coffee and Tea in California
Making a difference one bean at a time
2-4 million young girls every day are enslaved, raped, dehumanized for pleasure.  This is the nightmarish reality which is shocking to us, having triumphed over legalized slavery in the U.S. But the dark and hidden practice of human sex trafficking not only exists, it is thriving.  This thief of childhood innocence is now the third largest and fastest growing criminal industry in the world.   At Origin Coffee & Tea, we simply can't go another day without waking up to the cries of these girls for rescue.  We must fight for them as they cannot fight for themselves.  This is not just another cause – this is an emergency.

We failed Business 101...so our business is different.
-On the surface, we don't look much different – coffees...mochas...lattes...loose leaf teas...local artists on the walls.  But every pound of beans and cup of artisan coffee brings freedom where there is no freedom.  Here's the run-down of what we're about:
-We are for-benefit.  Although we are structured as a 501c3, we don't think of ourselves as "non-profit".  The difference with Origin Coffee & Tea is what we do with our profit.  Money is a tool for freedom and we will give it all away.
-Our workers don't get paid.  They selflessly volunteer to make a difference.  All funds beyond overhead costs go directly to those fighting the sex trade.

How far would you go if it was your daughter, sister, friend?  Our business practices (simplicity, fair-trade products, free labor) and our sacrifices are because we can't just move on but we think we can end this.

The harder we work, the more girls get rescued.  It's simple and we want the city to join us.

It takes the whole city and everyone is invited. We want to be a place where you can come in and relax, meet your neighbors, and share in something meaningful with people from all walks of life.

Sex trafficking happens in developing countries not because the pimps and brothel owners are strong but because they are stronger than the victims.  A little pressure on the slave owners and convictions against "clients" can give our resources exponential results.

Origin Coffee & Tea's profits fight Human Sex Trafficking by sending profits to fight this war in three ways:

Rescue – International Justice Mission leads the fight against human sex trafficking around the globe.  They not only rescue girls and boys, they also ensure justice by prosecuting the perpetrators.  We can't go and raid brothels ourselves but IJM can.

Recovery – The physical, emotional and psychological hurt caused to girls who have been made a commodity and raped day after day is unknowable.  What is known, is without homes where victims can be safe, taken care of, given resources to help heal deep wounds and given hope of a way out of the sex trade - rescue is pointless.

Cultural Development – In several countries, for generations, sex trade has become such a cultural norm that to find a family where a girl has not been prostituted or made to work the brothels is rare.  The crime of dehumanization is so pervasive that it is often not necessary for perpetrators to hold these young girls against their will – they mistakenly believe that trading their own bodies for a little money is simply a fact of life. We know that we cannot permanently end human sex trafficking without resourcing the people who live in cities where this is being done to their own people.

~Everyone is passionate about something different. Some are passionate about breast cancer; others are for Alzheimer’s, and some fight for children. We all have different experiences that lead us to care about maybe “one” thing and that’s okay but the important thing is to get involved and help no matter what triggers your heart to break or feel burdened.

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'

Compassion when you need it Most!

Hero Pilot Pulls Out the Stops to Help Grandpa Reach Funeral: 2011's Most Heartwarming Travel Story? - Yahoo! News

The most important trips aren't about getting somewhere. They're about getting to someone. (via Elliott.org)
But in an age of mounting airline fees, reduced in-flight services, uncomfortable security pat-downs and multi-day delays caused by erupting volcanoes, it's easy to forget that.
Amid the cries of "I've already paid for my hotel!" and "You need to get me to Atlanta!" anger and inconvenience frequently blind us to the fact that travel is ultimately about people. We also forget that airline employees - bound by big company rules and regulations - get frustrated, too.
Enter Nancy, whose travel triumph, tempered by a great deal of sadness, has turned an unnamed Southwest Airlines pilot into an online hero.
Nancy reads a blog by Christopher Elliott, a consumer advocate and journalist, and wrote to him about her husband's recent ordeal traveling on flights from Los Angeles to Tucson to Denver. Their situation makes complaints about leg room look downright petty.
"Last night, my husband and I got the tragic news that our three-year-old grandson in Denver had been murdered by our daughter's live-in boyfriend," she wrote. "He is being taken off life support tonight at 9 o'clock and his parents have opted for organ donation, which will take place immediately. Over 25 people will receive his gift tonight and many lives will be saved."
So early in the morning, after what must have been a torturous night's sleep, Nancy and her husband arranged for him to fly from Los Angeles, where he was traveling for work, to Tuscon, where he would step off one plane and immediately onto another one headed to Denver. "The ticketing agent was holding back tears throughout the call," Nancy wrote. "I'm actually her step-mother and it's much more important for my husband to be there than for me to be there."
Mourning the loss of his child's child, and no doubt worrying about his grieving daughter, he was likely in no state to travel. Airport stress only compounded his despair. He arrived at LAX two hours before his scheduled flight time, but quickly realized that delays at baggage check and security would keep him from making the flight.
According to Nancy, he struggled to hold back tears as he pleaded with TSA and Southwest Airlines staff to fast-track him through the lines that were moving like molasses. Even though missing his flight could mean missing a final chance to see his grandson, no one seemed to care.
Too much was at stake to simply roll over and cry. When he finally cleared security - several minutes after his flight's planned departure - he grabbed his computer bag, shoes and belt, and ran to his terminal wearing only his socks. The pilot and the gate agent were waiting for him.
"Are you Mark? We held the plane for you and we're so sorry about the loss of your grandson," the pilot reportedly said. "They can't go anywhere without me and I wasn't going anywhere without you. Now relax. We'll get you there. And again, I'm so sorry."
It's hard to underestimate the courage of the pilot's decision. The flight, which ultimately departed 12 minutes late, likely had hundreds of passengers rolling their eyes in contempt. And given that any delay has knock-on effects for passengers at the destination airport, his decision placed Southwest at risk of facing the wrath of travelers, and more than a few demands for compensation.
Elliott, who brought the story to the blogosphere's attention, approached Southwest about the story, half expecting the airline to be outraged by a pilot's refusal to push the on-time departure.
Instead, they told him they were "proud" of their pilot, a man who clearly understands that taking a child off life support has consequences that run deeper than a flight taking off late. As Nancy wrote: "My husband was able to take his first deep breath of the day." Hopefully, over time, his daughter can do the same.

Open Your Eyes

When I first started my blog I wanted to keep it positive, encouraging and uplifting. I wanted it to be a place where you would read good, happy and inspiring stories, ideas or views. There is so much bad and negative in this world that it can be depressing. I still have that in mind for my blog but I think I’m going to add to it a bit.
Slowly over time I have learned more about myself and my passions. I have a deep desire to help those less fortunate and in my opinion I believe I have a responsibility to help also. One of the reasons I started volunteering was because I knew how fortunate and blessed I was and I wanted to return the love you could say. Not everyone is as fortunate as you or me. Not everyone had loving parents or got the opportunity to go to college. Not everyone has a car or a roof over their head or running water. There are a lot of hardships, grief, sadness, and poverty if you look around but you have to keep your eyes open to it and not close them or turn away. And then if you do keep your eyes open you need to do something about it.
I want to “open your eyes” you could say to the world around us. What is going on and how people are affected. Put you in THEIR shoes. And there will be sadness and grief and it may at times not be uplifting or inspiring but it is real life and it needs to be made aware of. I’m not wanting to depress anyone or make you sad but instead make you aware so then you can make a POSITIVE, HAPPY, ENCOURAGING, UPLIFTING, difference in someone else’s life. I guess I’m just “spinning” my original idea a little.
I didn’t make the best decision today but it did get me thinking. I decided to take my dog for a walk today; he needed to get some exercise which sounds normal, right? Well not when it’s 20 degrees out and I have bronchitis (I believe I do b/c my husband does). So we’re walking around the block and I am absolutely freezing with a t-shirt, long t-shirt, sweatshirt, and a coat on, plus a scarf, gloves and hat. But I had on very thin sweatpants and oh boy where my legs freezing. They were about numb. And it got me thinking about those who where homeless or the children in Europe who don’t have the proper clothes or home to stay warm. I sponsor a child through World Vision and they are always sending out letters for help. One letter talked about two brothers, eight and ten, who were home alone in Armenia.
-For young boys facing freezing temperatures, a cozy fire seems    like a dream come true.
But for brothers Karen, 10, and Movses, 8, the fire they built to stay warm nearly took their lives -- and left their family's dreams in ashes.
It happened on an icy morning in one of Armenia's poorest regions. With their parents at work, the young siblings had been left home alone. Soon, the fire in their rickety stove began to die down.
Afraid of freezing, the children poured oil on the embers -- and ignited an inferno that destroyed their home, and burned Movses' face before he was pulled to safety.
"Everything was burned to ashes," says Azniv, the children's mother, who arrived home in time to witness the devastation along with her traumatized children.-
Wow! Put yourself in their shoes. Can you imagine being that cold and being left alone at that young of an age to fend for yourself? For most of us we have no clue what it is like but we can certainly imagine. By donating to Word Vision your gift will multiply 14x’s! A gift as little as $30 can make a huge impact.
I know it’s easier and safer to stay in our own little bubble but how rewarding can that be? Please look around and see the hurt and sadness and depression and grief and try to help. It doesn’t have to be money; it can be your time or resources. A little can go a long way.

Tempted

Guest Blogger: Kristen Again..

Our Pastor always posts on Facebook what his sermon is going to be about. Tomorrow is going to be on "Temptation". I am pretty excited to hear about this, because we all get tempted some way or another. Like me, I know I need to eat healthier, but with all the not-so-healthy food I have at home, or when I go out to eat it's hard. I was in a fit club about 2 years ago, we had a personal trainer and free membership to the YMCA. We were in two teams, three people to a team. The other two people on my team quit pretty quickly so it was just me against the three other girls on the other team. My trainer could be compared to Jillian on the Biggest Loser, she was not kidding around and kicked my butt! We weighed in every week, and it was always so exciting to see how we all did. I remember the last week, I knew it was really close between me and another girl. So I worked SO hard that week especially. The day of the last weigh in I stayed at the gym for hours, running, walking, and barely drinking any water because I knew if I did it could show up on the scale. I barely ate that day. This was the only day I went this far, through out the whole thing I ate really healthy and worked out every day. But this day I wanted to win SO bad I went extreme. I mean, I was competing for a trip to Orlando, Florida! So finally we do the weigh-in, and the girl who I was worried about lost 8 pounds! I was like great....she won. I stepped on the scale and lost 10 pounds in ONE week!!! And got under 200 pounds. I was ecstatic. I still wasn't sure if I had won but it was a milestone to get under 200 pounds, that was my ultimate goal. Anyways, I'm not sure how I got off on this but I remember how I felt when I could wear the smaller sizes and run on a treadmill, and I remember telling my mom to shoot me(not for real) if I ever had to wear those bigger sizes again. Well...I am in them...I have a gym membership....and I'm eating whatever/whenever. It is SO hard to get motivated on your own. I did so well before b/c I was in a competition and I am competitive and I had someone on my butt at all times. Well I guess I am just hoping tomorrows sermon gets me and I am no longer tempted w/this way of living and get off my butt and get back in shape!!!

Things that make you say hmmm...

This is Kelli's guest blogger, her sister. She is working late and not feeling well. So I was thinking about what to write and I have two different topics. The first is about what my professor said yesterday in class. I am taking an ethics class dealing with health care. She was talking about how if you believe Jesus is the way to heaven and you are not sure if your patient is a believer and they are dying, how you are not allowed to ask them or talk about it at all. Which okay, that's fine I guess. But then she said she thought it was, I cannot remember how she worded it exactly, but Very wrong to even pray for you patients. What?! She said you do not know what they believe in, they could be Jewish for all you know so you should not pray for them. She asked if any of us wanted to argue that, and I did not rasie my hand like I wish I would have now. I believe you should pray for anyone you want to. God should be our best friend that we tell everything to right? So we should be able to tell him alllll about our patients if we wanted to. What do you think?

Secondly, today a little girl, named Kate who Kelli has talked about before, is in New York having testing done. She is 4 years old. The same age as my son. She is having a spinal tap among other things! I cannot imagine Cameron having to go through what this little girl is going through. She is the sweetest little thing, always giving you a big smile. She loves being in a doctors office and she probably does not realize what she is going through. She had to be sedated for the testing today and I bet that was scary for her parents, and for her. I just pray that they get answers and are accepted for whatever treatment she needs and then California is where she will have to go next. I pray God has a miracle in mind for Kate.

One Year

**I copied this article from the K Love website (it's a Christian music channel if you didn't know) This is how your money helps when you give it to those in need! Yesterday the 12th was the one year anniversary of the earthquake. If we want help when we're in need, then we need to be there for those in need now.**
30 Pieces of Inspiring, Funny and Interesting Advice - My Modern Metropolis
On February 1st, you made a difference by joining K-LOVE to help raise $495,000 in relief efforts for Food for the Hungry in response to the 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti that took the lives of 220,000 and left over a million homeless. THANK YOU! Food for the Hungry was able to provide emergency support to the region, and is still working to rebuild Haiti one year later.

Your support has enabled Food for the Hungry to provide support in the following areas to the victims of the January earthquake in the past year:
Health and Hygiene
  • Medical teams and supplies have helped 20,000 people through mobile medical clinics.
  • Training has been provided to 3,000 “leader-mothers” in the areas of water purification and sanitation.
Food, water and sanitation
  • Tens of thousands of packaged meals have been delivered to families in need.
  • Tarps, jerry cans and hygiene kits with basic needs have been given to almost 4,000 families.
  • To help with water sanitation, 117 latrines have been dug, 1,000 hand washing stations have been installed, and hundreds of water filtration systems capable of delivering up to 600 gallons of water per day have been supplied to Haitians.
Shelter
  • Food for the Hungry has built 1,500 transitional shelters for victims, and is working with Samaritan’s Purse to find a more permanent solution for the individuals.
Child protection and support
  • In collaboration with non-government organizations and churches, almost 10,000 children have been served in 62 child-friendly areas throughout Haiti to help with much-needed care and counseling.
  • Volunteers have been trained in child protection issues to prevent children from abuse, exploitation, or being sold into slavery.
Cash for work
  • Nearly 6,000 workers were hired for rubble removal, 40 percent of them women
While much has been done, there is still a great deal of support needed in Haiti. On October 15th, health officials reported a cholera outbreak due to the lack of clean drinking water and poor sanitation. Since then, over 1,500 people have died due to the disease, and 30,000 Haitians have been infected. Food for the Hungry is currently training staff and mothers in the local communities in cholera prevention and treatment.

Get Involved

  • Donate to Food for the Hungry’s Haiti relief efforts or learn more about their work
  • Sponsor a child in Haiti
  • Pray for the people, workers, and volunteers in Haiti

Purpose

Do you have a goal in life? Do you know your purpose? Are you trying to reach something? Aim for something?

I’ve always had a feeling that there is more in this world for me, that I have a purpose but yet I haven’t been able to figure it out. So far nothing fulfills me and excites me to the extent that I’m looking for. I’ve had little glimpses of what I’m passionate about but still haven’t figured it all out. I’m so envious of those who know their goals and passions and purposes. The funny thing is, I’ve always wanted more and yet can’t find it or reach it. You know how some people just float around not knowing what they want or where they want to be. They don’t worry about it too much. Well in a sense that is me but I CARE! I don’t know and sometimes I feel like I’m floating from here to there.
Welcome to Hell
I don’t have any doubts that where I’ve been is the way it’s suppose to be and eventually God will lead me to my path and I guess I’m following the path now but I’m not where I want to be ON the path. The reason I bring this up is because (in my opinion) if you don’t have any purpose or goal in life, what is the point of living? I don’t think I’m here to go to school, get a job, get married, have kids and just live. There has to be more to life, more fulfillments. For me I don’t see how floating around or just living brings about any joy or happiness. I think we were put on this earth to fulfill a purpose and without it we won’t be satisfied in a sense. I know something is missing in me or for me and I’m still trying to figure it out. Patience is not a strong trait of mine.
